James Robert “Bob” Hutchinson, 87, of Procious, loving husband and father, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 16, 2018 at Clay Healthcare Center.
He was a retired inspector from Ford Motor Company, and served his country in the US Navy in Korean War. Bob was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and served as Deacon for the church, he was also a youth counselor and Deacon at Cleveland Baptist Church. He was a member of Masonic Lodge in Ohio, enjoyed going hunting and fishing.

He was a trust worthy man, honorable, compassionate, generous, always hard working, faithful and most of all a great father. He was greatly loved and admired by all who met him. He had a way of making everyone feel needed and loved. He was “Papa” to many children – both blood relation and not. He had a lot of love to give and was generous with that love.

Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Loretta, parents, William and Elva; brothers, Kenneth and Bill and brother-in-laws, Dude and Bill.

He is survived by daughter, Barbetta, special companion, Sharon; brothers, Jennings of Ohio, Paul of Calif., Michael of North Carolina; sisters, Alma Jean of Ohio, Barbara of Ohio, Judy (Doug) of Ohio, Mary Francis (Tony) of North Carolina; In-laws, Connie (John), Cora (Jack), Shirley.

Service will be 2:00 pm Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Hafer Funeral Home with Pastor Lee Swor officiating. Burial will follow at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney with military graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post 61, Clendenin.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
