Larry Kenton Snyder, 69, of Clendenin, passed away on April 9, 2018.

He was born in Charleston, WV on April 26, 1948 to the late Carl D. and Grace J. Snyder.  He was most proud his family and his love for his wife, Charlotte grew with each of their 37 years together. He also loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He passed that love for fishing onto his granddaughters.  He will be missed by his family as well as so many friends and even acquaintances. His family would like to thank Hospice and CAMC for all the care they provided to Larry.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Roger L. Snyder; grandmother, Mattie J. Chittum; uncles, Gordon, Howard and William Chittum; aunt, Mrs. Norma Eggleton.

Larry is survived by his wife, Charlotte Snyder; children, Matthew (Susie) Snyder and John Snyder and his fiancé, Mindy Nichols; grandchildren, Alexis Grace and Lindsey Ann Snyder; sister, Nesba (Rick) Tench of Gallipolis Ferry; brothers, Gary (Suzie) Snyder of Salem, VA, Howard David Snyder of Maryland, and Dana (Connie) Snyder of Charleston; niece, Kelly St. Laurent of VA; sister-in-law, Judy Rucker of Walton; brothers-in-law, Sam (Lisa) Looney of Elkview and Ken (Helen) Looney of Walton; nephews, Patrick Snyder of VA, Richard M. Tench of Charleston, Daniel Tench of PT Pleasant, Dale Looney of Walton, Jason Looney of Walton, Jamie Huff of Dutch Ridge, and Adam Looney of Coopers Creek; aunt, Nellie Hickman of South Charleston; and best friends, Loren Bailey, Kerry Linton and numerous cousins.

A service to Honor the Life of Larry will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Snodgrass Funeral Home, South Charleston with Pastor Lee Swor officiating. Burial will be in Cobb-Bailey Cemetery, Spring Hill Mountain.  Family and Friends may visit one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
