USDA Rural Development (RD) cordially invites you to participate in a Progress Review of USDA’s Elk River Relief Initiative.
USDA Rural Development (RD) requests your involvement in providing insight and recommending action steps in a relief initiative which originated from the May 15th visit by Secretary Anne Hazlett. The Secretary created the initiative after hearing of the region’s plight in the wake of the devastation wrought by the June 2016 Floods.
The May 15th round-table conference became the first step in USDA’s effort to bring its expertise and considerable resources to bear on the residual challenges facing the region.
In this next stage of its initiative, USDA Rural Development is hosting the first of a series of Progress Reviews in which the region’s local communities will convene to collaborate and craft the action steps and tangible solutions to their insidious, enduring problems.
Invited to this event will be community Stakeholders and resource providers who can support the region (financially, technically, or as a network connector).
USDA is interested in hearing your insights and investigating how partnerships can be formed to support regional communities in achieving their visions.
The expected outcome from this first progress review will be to develop a coalition of willing partners who will move ideas, projects, and actions steps forward.
We hope you can join us for this first event on September 11, 2018.
