CLAY COUNTY, W.Va. (WCHS/WVAH) — West Virginia state troopers are investigating a homicide in the Wallback area.
Troopers were called to a residence on Left Fork Sandy Road in Wallback Thursday morning, where they found a deceased male inside a home.
NEW: Troopers are investigating a homicide on Left Fork Sandy Road in Wallback. A man’s body was found inside a home there Thursday morning. Troopers say the man died a violent death, and his body had been there for a while.

Troopers in Clay County are currently working with the state medical examiner’s office to determine how the male died. Investigators told Eyewitness News the man died a violent death.

The body had been in the home for a while. Troopers have a person of interest they are working to locate. No names are being released at this time.
