Mr. Alfred Allen Cantrell Sr., 77, of Procious, passed away January 11, 2018, in CAMC General Division.
Alfred was formerly employed by Ford Motor Co. and former co-owner of Cantrell Florist for 25 years. He is a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Maysel, WV.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis and Ivah Cantrell; four brothers, Porter and Jimmy Cantrell and Frank and Junior Conner, and sister, Wilma Jean Godby.
Alfred is survived by his two children, Sonja and husband Tony Fore of NC and Allen and wife Tammy Cantrell of Charleston, and their mother, Betty Robinson; two step-children, Robin Fairchild of Clendenin and Randy Robinson of New Mexico, and their mother, Wanda Cantrell; three brothers, Charles Cantrell of Duck, Bruce Cantrell of OH and Elwood Cantrell of NC; four grandchildren, Jeremiah and wife April Halstead, Christie and husband Sun Joo, Josh Cantrell and Adam Cantrell; one great-grandchild, Addi; five step grandchildren, Bradley and Cody Robinson, Emilee and Jaxson Fairchild and Clay Wills; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A tribute to the life of Mr. Alfred Cantrell will be 11 a.m. Saturday, January 13, at Jordan Light Baptist Church, Elkview, with Pastors Bob Jett, George Webb and Clifford Samples officiating. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Church Cemetery, Widen.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
