Holly Ray Brisendine, 84, of Clendenin, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 17, 2017, at CAMC Memorial after a long illness.
He was the son of the late Otis H. Brisendine and Nellie Smith Brisendine. He was also preceded in death by his wife, “Jackie” Jacquelyn (Welch) Brisendine; daughter, Angela Brisendine; brothers, Charles, James and Homer Brisendine; sisters, Clara Brisendine and Chessie Brisendine.
He was a retired employee of the City of Charleston and an honorary member of the Municipal Beautification Commission. He was an Army veteran.
Holly is survived by niece with whom he made his home, Janet Rose; and other several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, December 22, at Matics Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow the visitation at the funeral home at 11 a.m., with Rev. Frank Allen officiating. Burial will be in Payne Cemetery, Clendenin; American Legion Post 61 will be performing Military Rites.
