Juanita B. Duff, 79, of Charleston, fell asleep in the Lord on March 10, 2018.

Juanita was born in Romance, West Virginia, to the late Charles and Ruby Lanham Ray. She was a graduate of Ripley High School and attended Glenville State College.

She was employed for 34 years as secretary with Dover Elevator Company (later Thyssen Krupp). She was a member of the First Advent Christian Church in Charleston, where she taught Sunday School and served on the Board.

Juanita was active for many years with the Boys Scouts of America, where she served as Cubmaster of Pack 38, District Round Table Commissioner and volunteered at numerous Scouting Camps and events.

In addition to her parents, Juanita is preceded in death by brothers, SSGT Landon C. Ray, Jobe Ray and Raymond E. Ray; daughter, Linda B. Simonton; brother – in – law, Harry Fisher.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 48 years, Allen Duff, Sr.; son, Allen Duff, Jr. and his wife, Beth of Charleston; grandchildren, Landon Duff and Audrey Duff; son-in-law, Don Simonton of Elkview; grandson, Mark Simonton of Barboursville; sister, Vallie Fisher of Elkview, sisters-in-law, Betty A. Ray of Sissonville and Betty Ray of Putnam County; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 13, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, with the Rev. Larry Nelson officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico.

Visitation with the family will be two hours prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
