Maxine E. Mullins, 95, went to be with the Lord on Sunday February 18, 2018 at home in Elkview, WV.
She was the daughter of the late Okey Otis Samples and Bertie Lee Matheney Samples. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Mullins; brothers, Chester, Wayne, Waitman (Bud) and Clark Samples; and sisters, Vida Hill, Mabel Samples and Opal Smith.
Maxine attended Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Elkview, WV.
She is survived by: son, Jerry and wife Karin; 2 grandchildren, Mike (Kim) of Forest, VA and Sarah Saunders (Frank) of Elizabeth City, NC; 5 great grandchildren, Adam, Tyler, Katie, Wesley and Amanda; and 8 great-great grandchildren, Jaxon, Aubrie, Dietrich, Oliver, (Ollie), Brendan, Brodie, Emerson and Ian; brothers, Dale (Evelyn); and sisters, Betty Snyder, Gertie Nichols and Dottie Taylor; Maxine was also blessed with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Kanawha Hospice for their care of Maxine and her family at her time of need.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral, from 10:00 AM to Noon Thursday February 22, 2018 at the Matics Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be 12:00 PM Thursday February 22, 2018 at Matics Funeral Home Clendenin with Pastor Lee Swor officiating.
Burial will be in Boone Samples Cemetery Bomont, WV.
