Nellie Jones, 89, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, March 15, 2018, at Hubbard Hospice House, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.

She married Clifford Jones in 1951 and lived a joyful life until he passed in 2016. Nellie was a very talented artist when it came to Quilting. She once graced the cover of Quilting World Magazines and sent President Ronald and Nancy Reagan a hand sewed Quilt. She was a 30-year member of Mount Pisgah Church, Coopers Creek.

She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Clifford Jones; daughter, Cindy Crowder; parents, Wilbur and Avilee Baldwin; brothers, Duke, Roy, Wilbur, Clem, Lawrence Baldwin and Chick Higginbotham; sisters, Lonia Burford, Julie Hill, Ruth Siders, Lalilliane Tate, Ernie Carpenter and Ocie Smith.

Surviving are her daughter, Gail Parson and Jeff White; son, Dana Jones and Christine; grandchildren, Jennifer and Boyce Hickman, Jamie Crowder and April Jones; great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Cheyanne and Boyce Hickman; and many others.

Many thanks to her caregivers, CAMC, Hospice House, Dr. John Richards and many loved ones.

Service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at the Hafer Funeral Home, with Pastor Art Morrison officiating. Burial will at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.

Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 18, at the funeral home.
