Bette Caroline Olson Burdette, 90, of Elkview, went to be with the Lord April 3, 2018, at Arbors of Gallipolis. She was born in Kansas on November 8, 1927, to the late Martin and Anne Olson.

Bette enjoyed being a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She was courageous, strong and loved her family unconditionally. Her love of God was ever present and she never judged anyone. One of her favorite sayings was “Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.”

In addition to her parents, Bette was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ann Daily; brothers, Herbert and Raymond Olson.

Bette is survived by her loving husband of 70 years, William Kermit Burdette; son, Michael (Darlinda) Burdette; daughters, Diana Parker, Beverly Farrell and Marsha (Pete) Larkin; brothers, Art and John Olson; sister, Ruby Oldehoeft; 10 grandchildren and several great – grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at Hafer Funeral Home, with Pastor Lee Swor officiating. Burial will follow the service in Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
