Bobbi Jill Smith, 50, of Sissonville, entered the arms of JESUS on Friday, January 12, 2018. She was born September 2, 1976, to the late Jean and Robert Gibson.
Bobbi was a kind hearted, loving, beautiful, and all around awesome person. She loved her trips to Florida with her family, brother, and best friends Herman and Sharon Gibson. She loved camping with them and her brother, Herschel Gibson and his wife Jayne. She belonged to Lift Jesus Higher Fellowship in Clendenin for over 20 years. She fought and won the battle against throat cancer.
She is proceeded in death by her grandson, Shawn David Smith, Jr; mother and father-in-law, James and Amanda Smith; brothers, Daryl E. Smith and Herman Gibson; sisters, Abby McNabb and Tonya Keen.
Bobbi left behind her husband of 35 years, Wayne Smith whom she loved more than words; sons, Shawn (Sonja) Smith, Chris (Jennifer) Smith, James (Courtney) Smith; daughters, Tiffany and Amanda Smith, Ashley (Jimmy) Smith, Jessica (Johnny) Mullins, Shannon (Eugene) McNabb; 19 grandkids that were Granny’s World!
Anyone that knew Bobbi knew she loved hard and cared harder. She lived to be the glue for her children. She has many brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, and cousins that she loved very much.
A celebration of Mrs. Bobbi Smith’s life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 19, at Lift Jesus Higher Fellowship with visitation beginning at noon. Evangelist Mike Hall and Pastor Jimmy Marcum will be officiating. Burial will take place at Marmet Memorial Gardens.
