Bonnie Jean Blackwell, 75, of Pinch went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017, at CAMC Memorial Hospital, from Pulmonary complication’s, influenza, pneumonia and COPD.

Bonnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and an active member of the Emmanuel Quilting Ministry. She is a former member of the Elk Valley Women’s Club and former President and member of Beta Sigma Phi. Bonnie was the sweetest person that you would have ever known, and she was extremely proud of her family. Her loving manner and kind demeanor will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred Payne and Beulah Crouch Payne; brothers, Bill Payne, Fred Payne, Jr., Marvin Payne, Bob Payne; sister, Sharon Payne.

Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Benjamin Blackwell; son, Benjamin (Kerri) Blackwell II; daughter, Beverly (Eric) Douglas; grandchildren, Kaitlin Jordan, Benjamin Blackwell III, Brady Blackwell and best friend, Susie.

Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 20, at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Charleston, with Rev. Ron Stoner officiating. Burial will be in the Blackwell Cemetery, Elkview, with private family burial.

The visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 19, at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1401 West Washington Street, Charleston and also one hour prior the day of the service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church Quilting Ministry.
