Charles Walter “Chuck” Morton, 87, of Charleston passed away Friday January 19, 2018 at Eastbrook Center, Charleston.

Chuck was born on July 22, 1930, in Charleston, to the late Wilford & Loula Mae Hedrick Morton. He was a retired glass cutter at Libby-Owens Ford; was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Charleston; a member of the Elks Club, Charleston Masonic Lodge #153 A.F. & A.M. and the Beni Kedem Shrine. Chuck also managed Mountaineer Limo service in Charleston and was a United States Marine, having served during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Betty Hagerman Morton; daughters, Debbie (James) Morton Hager of Jupiter, Fla. and Patricia (Shawn) Morton Carter of Charleston; two grandchildren, Jamie (Jenn) Hager and Jonathan (Erin) Carter; three great grandchildren, Hana and Blake Hager and Jacob Carter. Chuck is also survived by a life time friend, Al Williams of Charleston.

A memorial service to honor the life of Chuck will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday ,January 27, at Hafer Funeral Home, Elkview.
