Jeffery Morris George was born in Charleston, W.Va., on September 20, 1962. He passed away in his home on January 28, 2018, surrounded by family, friends, stories, and laughter at the age of 55.

He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Elladene George.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Lisa; father, Ray (Wanda); brother, Allen (Sue); children, Jonathan Matthew (Amy), James Michael (Nikki), Jessica Morgan (Travis), and Jeffery Matthew (Heather); grandchildren, Olivia, Alyssa, Kaiya, Braden, Jakob, Jilliann, Noah, and one on the way; great – grandchildren, Sophia and Riley; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Jeff loved dearly and is dearly loved by many.
In life, Jeff was happiest spending time at Sutton Lake on his pontoon, surrounded by his family and friends. We will carry him with us.
A memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 31, at Hafer Funeral Home, with Pastor Rodney Smith officiating. The visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. the day of the memorial service at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
