John Paul Bryant, 85, of Charleston, passed away January 18, 2018, at his residence.
He was retired from the Kanawha County Board of Education with 27 years of service and a lifelong resident of Kanawha County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Eddie Bryant and Annie Beatrice Foster; daughter, Reba Fraley; son, Johnny “Spic” Bryant; sister, Arbutus “Alice” Katmick.
Surviving: sons, Rickey Bryant of Johnston, Ohio, Paul Ray Bryant of Charleston; daughter, Bernice Gail Myers of Elkview; sister, Betty Harper of Charleston; former wife, Danna Bryant; and several grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, January 22, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home.
