Richard Given, 83, of Ohio, formerly Elkview, passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017, at Mt. Carmel West Hospital, in Ohio.
He was a retired truck driver for Roadway Express and served his country in the United States Army. Richard is a member of Clendenin Mason Lodge 125 AF&AM, Scottish Rite in Valley of Charleston, Beni Kedem Shrines of Charleston.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathern Given; parents, Oather Arnold Given and Bessie Rebecca Rock Given.
Richard is survived by his sons, Donald Given of Ohio, Charles “Chuck” Given of Huntington, daughters, Debbie Nash of Ohio; sisters, Alice M. Ratliff of Elkview, Naomi Newhouse of Elkview, Jean Harding of Tenn., and Louise Bennett of Florida; grandchildren, Thomas J., Brandon J. and Ashley Nash.
Service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 22, at Hafer Funeral Home, with Pastor Charles Bias officiating. Burial will be in the Given Cemetery, Elkview.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
