KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) — The slow lane of I-79 southbound in between Elkview and Clendenin in Kanawha County is shut down.
A tractor trailer crashed at mile marker 16 at 6:35 Wednesday morning.
The truck was hauling scrapped vehicles. Those vehicles are littered along side of I-79.
Crews will have to pick those up and upright the tractor trailer before the slow southbound lane will reopen.
No word on when that I-79 lane will reopen.
The driver wasn’t injured. He told deputies he was going around a curve when the back end starting to wobble.
Metro 911 reports the slow lane will be closed for several hours while crews clean up from the crash.
