Richard Clay Westfall, 62, of Elkview, passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at his residence.
He worked as a auto mechanic and was a loving son, brother and father. Richard served his country in the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne, and shot in the Army Pistol Team for Fort Bragg and South Charleston Ordinance Center.
Richard was preceded in death by his father, William “Bill” Westfall.
He is survived his daughter, Amanda (Brian) Dayman of Cary, N.C.; mother, Hilda Mae Westfall; sisters, Laura Ann (Tim) Melton, Lea Jane (Gregory) Melton; brothers, Randy (Kim) Westfall, and Donald Stepp of El Paso, Texas.
Service will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at the Myers Chapel of Hafer Funeral Home, with Pastor Scott Means officiating. Burial will be at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney, with military rites being conducted by American Legion Post 61, Clendenin.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Myers Chapel of Hafer Funeral Home.
